Canada Green Homes Grant FAQs

Bay windows typically only consist of three windowpanes, while bow windows often consist of four or five. Bow windows are also often larger in size than bay windows and offer a rounded appearance.

Not at all! Bow windows have long remained one of the most popular window designs, and it’s a reputation that they continue to hold today. Though it’s true that they were originally seen in century homes, we offer both classic and modern bow window designs to perfectly match your home.

While blind options are plentiful, we like the look of pleated blinds and roman blinds on bow windows.

If cared for properly, bow windows can last anywhere from 30 to 40 years. Watch for signs such as improperly working hardware, draftiness, or frame damage to know when it’s time to replace a bow window.

Absolutely! A bay window is a natural alternative to the bow window just based on some of their similarities. There are a variety of other windows that may be a good fit as well.
